artist statement I feel strongly for the earth and have a deep inner wish to contribute with my work. Beside the help individuals receive upon meditating with the art, 25 % of the surplus from a purchase of a painting, print or digital meditation goes towards causes promoting a sustainable society. The 25 % contributing to a better world will be used in the following three ways:
First: If you are buying a painting at an exhibition, the 25 % of the profit goes to sustainable actions within the city area or country.
Second: The 25 % goes into a long-term fund for charity, aiming to improve the livelihood for both mankind and nature.
Third: The 25 % will be used directed as a spot contribution to a course of great importance anywhere in the world. For instance the development of sustainable fuels, water system issues, self-development programs or preventing deforestation.

teaching Besides from being an artist, Elia Astfjord has for many years been teaching how to use art meditation as an alternative therapy for groups, as well as for individuals, to provide support in personal development.
Elia has gained extensive knowledge and practise over the years in his many meetings with his students and other participants. The number of these has grown over time to such extent that it has become increasingly difficult to take on new students, as the courses are year-long and individually tailored to meet the needs of each student.
The most popular courses over the last years have been the courses in meditation, self-knowledge & personal development and the healing courses. Other popular courses are the two training courses for future teachers, in order to become a qualified meditation teacher or a qualified healing teacher.
Due to the increasing demand, Elia now opens up new ways and possibilities of taking part in his teaching, through such things as; shorter personal advice by e-mail; guidance for inner growth, computer meditation and self-instructional meditation programs.
